Bare Wire is the one to use, much preferred over the insulated wire. The Bare wire has not need to pierce the plastic like the insulated wire and therefore creates a much better contact. Additionally fixtures can be run along the bare wire and be adjusted with out re-piercing the plastic of the insulated wire. Remember the wire system is a twin cable system so if you want to go 20 feet you must have 40 feet of wire Sold per foot. *To be used with 1400 Series Cable Light Kits only.
