It appears I'm not the first one trying to replace a transformer for a lighting set from Ikea. This unit does the job and it so much smaller. Well worth the money and could not have been easier to install. |

I also ordered these to replace Ikea Sansa transformers. Those ran very hot and the fuses melted within their housing, one by one. These are comparatively tiny, the entire transformer is directly at the plug. The wire is about 3 feet longer than the Sansa |

Based on earlier review, replaced 2 Ikea SANSA transformers today in a few minutes. One transformer had died after two years. Used electrical twist caps to connect the transformer wiring to the existing Ikea wiring with no problems. The new transformer |
