Like other reviewers, I was unsure if this was the RIGHT part for my Ikea lamp. Indeed, it comes with bare wires that I would presume you must splice to the Ikea lamp wire. I cut off the Ikea wire plugs (saved them just in case), plugged the unit into the wall, and voila, we have light. Worked fine. Just make sure your splices and insulation are okay. There should be some instructions with this transformer by the manufacturor regarding this issue. |

When we placed the order we expected to have to wait to receive it but no, it arrived so quickly we were totally surprised. It works great and could not be simpler to install. You can't go wrong ordering from this company. |

It appears I'm not the first one trying to replace a transformer for a lighting set from Ikea. This unit does the job and it so much smaller. Well worth the money and could not have been easier to install. |
